It is a one of the type of permission need to be taken before starting any business related to food i.e. restaurant, manufacturing unit, café etc.
To whom it is applicable?
It is applicable to all food product manufacturer/ food product retailer/ restaurant/ cafe/ hawker
What are the types?
Food registration- If annual turnover is below Rs. 12 Lakhs
State Licence- If annual turnover is above Rs. 12 Lakhs or Manufacturing capacity upto 2 MT per day
Central Licence- If annual turnover is above Rs. 20 Crores or Manufacturing capacity above 2 MT per day
